PURPOSE

It is difficult to define the nuance’s purpose; particularly in a world that is chaotic, and sometimes suggests we should all be driven to pursue something. Perhaps, as our speakers elucidate, it dwells within — and that finding one’s purpose is the ultimate surrender to the great mystery, however it may appear to us in our unique experiences. Each human being has a story to tell — a blueprint — that asks us to return to who we are. Whether it is through our approach to life, or the challenges we face, finding our purpose is to return to our most authentic expressions of Self. In this musing we are held by the words of Haneem Christian, Shakil Solanki, Tukiya Mulusa and Celeste Arendse.

Purpose is the intentionality of one’s existence; it is the translation of our inner worlds into the outer world, in which we can offer our essence in servitude. “I’d like to look at the word in a more simple way. To me, the word “purpose” is finding that connection with God, or call it Source Energy, and finding oneself in that connection. That connection is what will move the world into a place that is more beautiful, balanced and more harmonious.” muses Tukiya Mulusa.

Haneem Christina reminds us that “I am a child of the Great Mother, and I am honestly just here to serve. Having a purpose is the reason why I was born; and I guess in these 25 years I have been seeking, and finally I have found my duty on this planet, and answering the call.”

As our planet faces deep scarring, and everyone is grasping for their own meaning to this life; we hope this chapter will illustrate that every being is a significant etching in the canvas of Earth, destined to return home to their true nature. As Shakil defines it, “Purpose grounds us and keeps growing — and my own process as an artist is sometimes excruciating, as the hand is wrapped so tightly around the brush to produce delicate strokes.”

“I think we were all put on this earth to fulfill a purpose; and our individual states are totally unique, and there is not a formula; and that there is a beauty that comes to being on your own journey.” offers Celeste Arendse.

We are blessed with these reflections as medicine; a small reminder that you are woven into the fabric of divinity. May you know your purpose.
